• Amy Carter's (President Carter's daughter) told People Magazine (26-Dec-1978) that her favorite book was Alvin Fernald, Superweasel.    She also wrote a nice letter to Clifford Hicks acknowledging an autographed copy of another of the Alvin Fernald books that he sent her.

• A University of Kansas professor who teaches an Environmental Studies course lists Alvin Fernald, Superweasel on the list of required-reading for the college course.

• Clifford Hicks has received several awards for his writing.    Here are some examples:
