Most of the Alvin Fernald Series has been out of print for several years. Fortunately, many local and school libraries still have copies in circulation. They also frequently show up at used book stores and garage sales. There are several online book services that specialize in selling out-of-print juvenile books.

other used book dealers also list copies available.
In 2006, Purple House Press will republish The Marvelous Inventions of Alvin
Fernald and Bethlehem Books
will republish Alvin's Secret Code.
